Repair 5 , cold joint in middle of section causes odd spacing on right side. 2nd tie from right at an acute angle, damaged by coring drill. Will weld further down. Bolts provided by All american asphalt. Asked for 2 to be tested. Told welder config of assembly. Said he would file down weld to make it slip in pipe

Spoke with reps from All american asphalt. Went over permit steel and concrete reqs. Agreed to use rapid set mix.

Sunday night canceled because of rain. Tonight concrete encasement for pipe and slurry backfill completed. Forming out of drywall not removed. Wood and plywood was removed.

Weds, approach slabs to be repaired.

East side of bridge, Arizona Pipeline is cleaning out bottom of excavation for minor concrete on Monday.

Exposed rebar on left, they will remove and replace all areas where rebar was damaged

Foam to prevent concrete from entering bridge. Formed for concrete encasement

Sunday night they expect to place encasement, and slurry and sawcut additional area for repair

Monday they expect to install rebar and place concrete mix.

Witnessed an accident, cars collided under the bridge (based on noise) , one hit barrier rail and one went of the road to the right. Called it in to 911.

Checked ret wall chamfer. PIs visible, some clearance issues, some trash at bottom of wall. Pour today at 11pm. Mtg w/costa mesa, contractor 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm discussed drainage, weep hole adjustment, wet pile requirements, recd certs from Tom Lemere, concrete pad for electrical, survey issues.

Checked 55 widening calcs for ret curb disagree with calcs, but agree with result. risk of overturning and sliding is slight, discussed pile pl plan w karim, possibility of wet hole based on logs of test borings. Reqs for wet hole piles. New mix, potential need for testing tube, casing, overdrilling 2.sack slurry, bentonite, settlement testing
